Spritz Cookies

3/4 cup sugar
1 cup butter or margarine
1 egg
2 1/2 cups sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt

Cream butter, adding sugar gradually. Add unbeaten egg, then add sifted flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Put through a cookie press onto ungreased cookie sheet and decorate as desired. Bake at 400°F for 8-10 mins. or until golden brown.
