Pear Nut Cake

3 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 cups vegetable oil
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 cups chopped pears (hard pears)
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Beat eggs, then add sugar, vanilla, and oil. Add flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and baking powder. Beat well-batter is very thick-add pears and pecans. Pour into greased and floured tube pans (4 coffee cans) or 2 loaf pans. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour and 5-10 mins. until golden brown.
