Kissing Cookies

1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/3 cup (plus 1/2 cup sugar for topping)
1/3 cup light brown sugar (packed)
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1-9oz package Hershey kisses (unwrap before baking)

Cream butter and peanut butter. Beat in sugars. Beat well. Add egg, milk, and vanilla. In separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend into butter mixture. Shape dough into 1/2" balls, roll in the 1/2 cup sugar, and place onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 mins. at 350°F until cracked and light brown. Remove from oven and immediately press a Hershey kiss in the center of each cookie. Cool on wire racks about 2 hrs. until the chocolate is set.
